What is Worship?
Worship is where God encounters His people through Word and Sacrament and they are changed by His presence. Worship flows from the Gospel and includes our response of praise and thanksgiving. We approach worship with an openness to be transformed by forgiveness and to grow spiritually with a deepening commitment to serve the lord everyday of our lives.
Worship...
• proclaims the forgiveness of sins, life, peace, hope, and true joy
• disciplines us and thereby equips us for the work of the Kingdom
• strengthens our relationship with God
• draws together the people of God
Worship is the natural expression of a grateful, joyous, heart, praising God and receiving His grace in Jesus as God, the Holy Spirit, touches our hearts through His Word-spoken, shared, preached and sung!
What to expect:
Sunday Morning Worship
Peace Lutheran Church offers two worship styles on Sunday mornings, with Holy Communion offered and celebrated on the first, third Sundays of the month...
10:30 am: WORSHIP - Many of the songs, hymns, and spiritual songs are those which are currently being written and sung in the Christian community, along with older hymns that have a timeless message. The language used in this worship is crafted to take the eternal truths of God’s Word and communicate them in a straightforward way in the language of our time. Here also, our worship is often enriched by a praise song sung as a solo or by our praise team.
Holy Communion is offered and celebrated on the first and third Sundays of the month.
Guests are always welcome at PLC, and we hope that hearing God’s Word with us will be a blessing to you. The dress is casual or come as you are.
Are children welcome?
Absolutely! We love to have children in our services. If the need arises we have a nursery available at each service. We also have a children's church during the Sermon each Sunday.
